Hi

     I don' t know if this is what you are l;ooking for. The Nassarius
obsoletus(Say) That range is from Gulf of St. Lawrence To Florida is a
scavenger, and a dead fish or a crushed clam thrown into shallow waters will
attach  large number of these. I tried this once and it works it takes some
time  and it is interesting to watch.It is suppose to have a keen sense of
smell that it can locate carcasses.If you are interested in haveing some of
these shells for your collection I can get you some let me know.
