Probably one of the Ventridens (Zonitidae), but not sure from the photos.
It would be nice to have basal and lateral views.  One cm is too large for
other zonitids that come to mind.  A couple polygyrids are other remote
possibilities.  Better have the fellow send some specimens to someone
instead of trying to ID this thing from attachment photos, particularly if
it is to be the subject of a research project.......  Kurtles
