The narrower end points posterior (toward the apex), fitting into the
poorly-formed angle where the shell lip meets the body whorl.  This places
the thickest edge of the operculum against the columella of the shell, and
the thinner edge toward the lip, which is another good guide in placing
Turbo opercs.
