Dear Luis,

CLEMAM as well as Poppe & Goto, European Seashells, Vol. 1, 1991, indicate
Dautzenberg, 1910 as author of Marginella chudeaui. A search for Bavay in
CLEMAM shows that he is mentioned as "Bavay in Dautzenberg". I don't have
the original publication, but it seems that Dautzenberg mentioned Bavay as
author of the taxon and by the current rules Dautzenberg must be considered
as the actual author. Just a conjecture ...
In CLEMAM, Marginella chudeaui sensu auct. non Dautzenberg, 1910 is
considered as synonym of Gibberula epigrus (Reeve, 1865), which is a hint
that there seems to be some confusion about this taxon.
I didn't bother to buy the Nordsieck book from 1982, I was sufficiently
annoyed with the 1968 version.
