It is actually a twelve to thirteen sharply ribbed shell. The size is about
12mm, the apex is smooth for about 4mm while the thin ribs are dented or
notched at their edges, at distances of about the rib thickness. The
interspaces are wide (about 4-5 times ribs) and have a concentric sculpture
of light thin grooves. I can only provisionally compare it with the D.
cancellatum of Sowerby but there may be other similar species in the Red
Sea.
However, with the specimens being found in Greek waters I am not excluding
an undescribed Mediterranean species.
For more scans please contact me privately.
