Hello Reuben
Welcome to Conch L . Hope you find it as interesting as I do.
I lived in Singapore 1966-1968 and it was there I started diving and shell
collecting. Our club used to go up to the east coast of Malaysia on
expeditions to Pulau Tioman , Pulau Perhentian etc.Of course there were
hardly any divers around in those days!
I still have a good collection based on those times. I sometimes wonder
what the shelling would be like now with all the development that has gone
on over the interveening years. Mind you I never found Cypraea guttata
while I was around there. Did you find it locally?
I am a member of the British Shell Collectors Club. Do you have any similar
organization in Singapore? Do you exchange shells?
                     Regards
                                  Dominic
