Dear Mr. Geerts,
most of the local Clausilas are protected, but the law has never been enforced.
A few, especially the Gozo species are on the verge of extinction.
I do not think dead specimens are covered by the law.
However, if you would like a few dead specimens I will send you a sample, but I
think you
would want to collect them yourself from their type locality.
Incidentally, do you have any spare valves of Pisidium casertanum and P.
personatum for me?
