I still haven't been able to find the paper, but all the northeastern
Pacific "Acmaeidae" of early authors were assigned to Lotiidae by Linberg
(1986), with the exception of Acmaea mitra Rathke, 1833, which stands alone
in the family Acmaeidae (in the northeastern Pacific).

And Sowerby is the winner (Lottia gigantea Sowerby, 1834; again Lindberg,
1986).

So Lottiidae may now belong to Acmaeidae ? And this, since 1986. Apparently
I spent all this time in a box, or a hole.
And for Lottia gigantea, who's the winner: Gray or Sowerby ? Any definitive
idea in the list, or an explanation ? Why do one meet L.g (Gray, 1834) &
L.g (Sowerby, 1834) ?
