Dear Conch-L'ers,

I have obtained some supposedly cleaned shells just to find out that parts
of the animal were still inside.
Unfortunately, after removing the organic remains, the shells show some
grayish/bluish stains.
Does anybody know if/how they can be removed without damaging the shell?
Or are these alterations irreparable?

Regards,
Tilo
