Subject: shelling in Fort Lauderdale area (a few more members with info?)

Dear Conch-L'ers,

This request is for information that may be a little
closer to home than usual for many members of this
list. I am going to be in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for
business at the beginning of February. I have
arranged to come into town a few days early so that I
can collect shells while there. I prefer land snails
but am interested in marine material as well. So-

Where is there good collecting in the Ft. Lauderdale
area? Are there good areas within easy driving
distance? What are the best types of local habitats
(land and/or marine)? etc.,etc.

As always, all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Phil Liff-Grieff
