The "Museu Oceanográfico de Rio Grande" has one of the greatest
collection of molluscs in Brazil. But i must admit that the
expositions are not that good. Usually our (south american)
material is very small (2-6 mm) than not atractive to the
general public.
I had the oportunity to spend a week on the cientific collection
to review my 106 identifications of material from deep water
from south Brazil and i´ve liked it very much.
Now i´m planning going to Museo de La Plata, near Buenos Aires,
Argentina, wich has a very good collection of molluscs. Many of
them of Volutidae (from Lahile´s collection). I´ve heard it is
one of the top 10 museums of south america.

Fabio Wiggers,
from the hot and sunny Brazil.
