Hello everyone in the forum!, I am new to the list; my name is Juan Francisco Araya, I am student of Geology here in Chile and I have been interested in shells since just recently (about 6 years) mainly by the way of fossils, although I am pointing my collection to recent deep water shells and some specific families.
I discovered also recently chemosynthetic-based mollusks and I am gathering information (and specially specimens) of this unusual communities, so any help in the matter is welcomed.
Being in the list I hope to gain more knowledge in the theme and make some friends to share opinions, it is great to be on-line with others who share the interest in shells.
Apart: I am looking for information about the species Vesicomya sergeevi, Filatova 1971, does anybody has information about habitat or characteristics of this species?

Well, thanks for including me in the list.

JF Araya.
