Hello Again!

Unfortunately I don't have any information as to who described this form of Cypraea pantherina. I just ran across the name when checking pantherina on the Gastropod site that many of us use. I have this form - have not catalogued it, as I had no locality data. But is really a pretty shell, and I decided to try to find out more about it.

"Covered with golden hair" is indeed a weird descriptive name for non-operculate group, unless this was a description of the mantle of the form.

Does anyone have any additional information?

Thanks,
Linda
