I've heard that a few specimens came off the Kii Mounts South of the Ryukyu
Islands of Japan but can't confirm this. Most trawlers before used to cover
multiple areas & locality is a big question. So far Taiwanese coral boats
using "tickle chains" to collect Ox Blood Coral are the main source & they
are currently concentrating trawling in waters closer to home.  CHRIS:)
