Ah, thise were the days!

I was getting my Master's at NYU during '65-'66. and I spent many a happy hour buring, sorting, and visiting in Veronica's shop. I am not sure what I still have in my collection from her shop. With moving all over and having to sell some shells at a point when the grocery money got low (back in St. Louis), I don't know. Also Marguerite Stix gave me one of the shells pictured in their big book, bt it was fragile and eventually broke.

I do however treasure the camaraderie I had with other well known visitors to the shop - those were the days when the Manhattan club was active, and we would have our meeting at the ANatural History Museum and then adjourn to The Captain's Tabel restaurant for drinks and a seafood dinner.

With the disbanding of our St. Louis club, I feel rather lost but hope to make it to 2008 COA. Portland is too far and expensive for me to travel.

Cordially,
Linda
