The conus hirasei Tom and I were talking about is so detailed that if you
look directly into the aperture you can see the whorl turn inward as in a
real conus. I looked the shell over again last night , i suspect that it is
a 2 piece mold , the joint is around the shoulder , i still can't see a
seemline but this would be logical.
Art , a "gem" coin is referred to as either "mint" or "uncirclated mint" ,
what does the "D" stand for on US coinage? mark
