On 25th January Berthold Lechtenberg asked about books on South African
shells.
The short answer is that none are "in print" at this moment, although a
comprehensive tome by Steyn and Lussi will come out in April. Previous
books, which might be available in the odd library or second hand
bookshop around the world include "South African Shells - A collectors
Guide" by D. Richards, C. Struik, Cape Town 1981, ISBN 0 86977 1132, and
the truly excellent "Sea Shells of Southern Africa" by R. Kilburn and E.
Rippey, Macmillan South Africa, Johannesburg 1982, ISBN 0 86954 0947.
The latter book is worth getting at almost any price !
