If I had to identify whether I had Lima lima versus L. vulgaris based on the
Compendium of Shells, I couldn't do it. I see no difference in the two
species as depicted. I haven't checked my other books yet.

Subject: Lima sp. question

Does anyone know if Lima vulgaris (Link, 1807) is a distinct species or is
it
considered a subspecies (or variety) of Lima lima?

Thank you!
