Dear all,

I love the humor of Conch-L, but I'd also appreciate if you could gently pay
a little attention to the questions listed in my message "Doubts, doubts and
more doubts".

All the best,

You must understand that these various and sundry "types" have the
complete endorsement of the ICZN, as represented by their American
representative, Betty Jean Piech, member Womens Basketball Hall of Fame.
They have merely been lost or misplaced and re-discovered by Tom
Eichorst while surfing the web naked.
Fintype or Piscatype: A new species found in the stomach of a fish
or
shark.
Mytype: A new species one likes too much to deposit in a museum.
Bubbatype: A new fresh water shell found in a stream in Eastern
Kentucky. (also called a Shuetype)
Philotype: New species discovered in one of those bags labled "50
genuine seashells from the Philippines"
Untype: Shell you thought was new but isn't
I do hope someone is keeping track of all these terms; we wouldn't want
them to be re-lost.
