In such a case, financially you would probably not get much money from
the frozen shell, and would be hard pressed to ship it still frozen and
have it arrive in that status.

Why not defrost the shell and photograph it thoroughly, then carefully
as possible, remove the animal and put it into alcohol for a scientific
donation to a museum working in that area.  Then sell the shell with
operculum.
