This shows yet again why it is important to keep religious dogma out of our
taxpayer-funded public schools. A dilemma occurs when everyday things like
science become the subject of dogma. What's next, grammar? Certain
religions proscribe spelling out the word G_d.

To inject a shell-related subject about subspecies: my understanding of
Emily Vokes's views about subspecies is that it is similar to those
expressed by Luiz R. Simone:
1. By definition subspecies have to be separated geographically.
2. If they are separated geographically and show other differences, you
might as well separate them at the species-level and forget about
subspecies entirely.
