Hi Conch-L'ers,

I have a couple of shells that hopefully one of you can put a name on.

The first one is a pretty little Murex, two and a half inches (6-7 cm) in
length, from the Philippines. I have received several of these, and can't
decide just what it is.

The second appears to be a Melongena of some sort, about 2 inches (5 cm) in
length. Locality is unknown. I don't have the actual shell. Someone sent
me this image, asking for information on it.

Bret Raines has kindly posted images of these two shells on the "what is it"
page of his website (www.molluscs.net) Please take a look and let me know
what you think. Bret also has an image of an Acteon posted there - check
that out too.

Thanks.
Paul M.
