Many permanent and other inks are soluble in ethanol, so be careful if you
are using something other than water on your specimens.
Rite in the Rain is one company that offers waterproof paper, and I have a
couple of waterproof field notebooks from Sokkia. Searching the Web for
these would probably turn up more information. Several scientific supply
catalogs list waterproof paper with field equipment, but it would probably
be cheaper to find the manufacturer.
