Rosi,
You already have a wonderful network of ratings for shell dealers; you're
on Conch-L! Word of mouth is a dealer's best rating. Bill is sure right
that a perfect dealer for one person is not perfect for the next
necessarily; there is a lot to consider, like will 'your' dealer take the
time and interest to get to know what you like, your preferences and
quirks, etc?

>I can't imagine an individual putting together a rating of all the shell
>dealers since the collectors themselves are such a diverse group.
>One persons ideal shell dealer would be a total waste for another
>who insists on perfect locality data and totally accurate identifications.
>Some people, do quite frequently in fact return shells which are
>mis-identified or mis-represented.

>Rating dealers in a "spiral bound" format is certainly worthless.
>There are no perfect dealers or lousy dealers (unless they don't
>send you your shells) - but dealers of all persuasions - just like
>the public that they serve.
