Dear Conch-Lers,
I was unpacking my stuff and discovered I'd saved a really nice great big
Eheim cannister fishtank filter. It got me thinking. I'm going on a shelling
trip in May. How complicated would it be to keep live Xenophora? I'm not on
the road. I could do this.
I've never done salt water before. I'd have to do some reading. I know I'd
have to set the tank up well in advance of my trip.
So here are my questions:
How large a tank do I need?
Have any of you kept live Xenos before?
What do I feed them?
What sort of materials (gravel, rocks etc...) in the tank?
How best to keep the little guys alive on the flight home?
Am I crazy?
Ellen
PS I'm not naming a species, but I am getting a bull terrier puppy. Does
anyone have any (on-topic) conchologically-inspired suggestions for a name?
