Steve,
I have purchased two works that I first found on the internet. Despite
there being an electronic copy available for free I wanted an archival
hard copy. I can transport it easier, flip through the pages easier, and
I can open several books simultaneously to compare descriptions or
illustrations, something I cannot do on my computer without the images
being incredibly small.
Would I do away with the net, never! Will I always be willing to by
the book? If I need it, yes.
Charlie
