Hi Folks,
A colleague of mine, Ms. Maria Mantas, USFS, has found a slug on one of
her research sites just south of Glacier Nat'l Park in NW Montana. The
animal appears to very localized in distribution. It is shiney black, with a
rugose dorsum. No other color anywhere. Looks somewhat like *Arion ater*,
but is smaller, more slender, and has different proportions. These animals
also eat native vegetation.
