The deal about the zip drives is you can use them for backup and to access
your files. They are very fast, its like having another 100meg hard drive.
As a backup they are really a bit limited to special files and not an entire
system like you can do with a tape (although they come with a handy little
program for spanning disks). The importance in all of this is to select
some knid of back up system. Re-entering thousands of shells into a
database may be fun to some but is not something I wish to do.
