>Hello to conch-l,
>I have been on internet for one week, and I have been on conch-l for ten

>hope this listing is what I think it is because I have been collecting sea
>shells for seven years now, but i have never heArd of anyone else who collects
>sea shells. This listing seems to have people who collect sea shells, and I
>hope to learn more about collecting and about shells by being here. I have
>over three hundred shells, which I have found on trips to the west coast, plus
>some in shops and such. I got a whole basket of shells at a yard sale last
>month and i have found names for some of them. I like all kinds of shells.
>So I hope I can learn more about this hobby by being in this listing.
>Sincerely,

Soopy,
I too have only been on Internet less than a week, but on Conch-L
for 5 of these. 'm sure that you will enjoy the group as much as I do.
Welcome to the "club". You have a good start in a very fascinating area.
My wife started about 6 years ago and now it has become a full-time thing.
I'm retired and spend a lot of time cataloguing, collecting, cleaning and
just plain thinking about what to do next. Conch-L has been that thing to
do next. You'll meet lots of interesting people on line and if you have
questions, ask them. You're sure to get a response.
Good Luck, Dan "yoshells" Yoshimoto
