Ross,
Here in Hawaii, I've seen Conus leopardus with worm tubes on its dorsum. It
was very much alive and had heavy pitting on it similar to a shell that had
been dead for months. The larger/older the shell, the more chance of worm
tubes being attached. I've seen them on imperialis and lividus as well but
definitely not very often. Hope this helps.
