John U. Lloyd state park can be good - the snorkeling has been better than the beachcombing lately, however. Rumour has it that one of the rangers has a little cottage industry going...
Anyway, on the subject of Florida state parks, does anyone know if they are exempt from the "Sovereignty of the seas" law in the Florida constitution? That's the law that states that the beach belongs to the citizens of the state from the mean high tide line to some distance under the sea. Some tourists told me they were run off the beach by a ranger before the park opened - it was low tide and they were looking for shells in the water, and had walked up the beach from Dania pier. I told them about the Florida law, but then I was wondering if I was wrong...any help greatly appreciated.
