Alex,
Chafarinas are three little Spanish islands (I lived there some periods when
I was a child), about three miles off Morocco coast, right south from
Almeria. They are a military zone, though they could be visited under
permission. They are a little renowned because the last remaining specimen
of monk seal (a male, called "Peluso") in Spanish territory lives there.
Only persons that I know who could have some knowledge about terrestrial
snails from Chafarinas are Jose Ahuir Galindo ([log in to unmask]) or,
maybe, Sebastian Torres Alba ([log in to unmask]), you may try to contact
them directly.
Best regards,
