Alex,
Without any additional information or shell description, I am
going to venture a guess and say that it is possibly
Cipangopaludina chinensis malleatus (Reeve, 1863), in the
Family Vivipariidae. I base this on my personal collecting
experiences in Central Park when I still lived in NYC numerous
years ago.  Is the shell globose, with a slightly malleated,
greenish colored body whorl?
