Dear Timothy and Chris
Pustularia globulus sphaeridium is described as a subspecies from Central
Melanesia to Polynesia hence shells of P. globulus from the Philippines
cannot be related to Pustularia globulus sphaeridium because this is not the
same geographical area.
A question whether Pustularia globulus sphaeridium is separable from the
nominotypical subspecies conchologically is something different. My attempt
to prove this possibility is failed (see " Intraspecific variation in
living Cypraeidae Part 1 2005) but this question needs an additional
research in the future.
Best regards
Ed
