Dear friends

The research group at the CSIC-Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales de
Madrid with whom I collaborate requires a specimen of any calyptraea or
calyptraeidae species (crepidula, or any other genus within the family
will also do) preserved in 96% Ethanol for DNA analysis. Apparently, a new
clasification for Caenogastropoda recently proposed has to be properly
checked for consistence by DNA analysis.
We are aware of the presence of DNA records in GenBank for different genes
of calyptraeidae species (i.e. Calyptraea chinensis), but in order to be
consistent with the particular type of gene used in our study, we would
still need at least one preserved specimen of any species within the
family Calyptraeidae.
If any of you may help, please contact me privately for addresses, etc,
Thank you very much in advance, and warmest regards

Manuel Jimenez Tenorio
