Dear Listers,

Five years into their collaboration Roger Clark, research biologist,
and Bill Frank, webmaster of jaxshells.org, the Jacksonville, FL
mollusks and related biota website, have launched a new cluster of
webpages <http://www.jaxshells.org/starfish.htm> dealing with
seastars of the Aleutian Is. This enterprise is based on Roger's
collections and photographs. Bill has supplied the image-editing and
website construction. The outcome is what I am inclined to call a
breathtaking and well-defined iconography of northern Pacific
seastars. While uploading will continue for a while, there is plenty
of information and eye-catching imagery in place already.

Making its appearance along with this novelty is a significant update
of (continental) Alaskan and Aleutian mollusks at
<http://www.jaxshells.org/010603.htm>.
