Seems to be a bit of confusion here... the dot net version is Avril's great site (Which i owe some arcticles to for a **very** long time now!!).  The dot com version is a vehicle for the promotion of fiat creationism and "intelligent design", and is indeed rather deceptive in its approach.  We should probably have avoided this state of affairs by also registering the .com and the .org versions of manandmollusc at the time we chose the .net ending (reasoning that it wasn't actually an organization, and it certainly wasn't a commercial site, which left the neutral .net designation).  However, this was considerably before the time of the $6.95 per year domain :--).
