I have Visual Thesaurus on this computer - seashell is a noun
:1. the shell of a marine organism, 2. the hard largely calcareous
covering of a mullusc

shell by itself has many many branches.  Verbs and nouns.  From large
ammunition to hull
and natural covering to husk and carapace...

I therefore like the one word version - straight and to the point.
While the two might
invoke multiple meanings of sea and multiple for shell making a complex
thought process to some.

Martin [ the software tool - visual thesaurus is a graphic tool.  The
base A.I. it uses can map the
contents and relations of any database subjects.  I saw one on
philosophers and it was instructive! ]
