I am pleased to inform that the latest issue of The Nautilus (volume 123,
number 3) is being published today, September 28, 2009. The new issue
includes the proceedings of the symposium “Neogastropod Origins, Phylogeny,
Evolutionary Pathways, and Mechanisms,” held during the 2007 World Congress
of Malacology, in Antwerp, Belgium. The proceedings have as guest editors
M.G. Harasewych and Ellen E. Strong, both curators of mollusks at the
National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. If you are

As the title of the symposium indicates, the proceedings contain articles
that will prove to be influential in gastropod biology, systematics, and
classification.  The issue, spanning 156 pages, is being distributed to all
regular subscribers of the journal, but can also be purchased separately for
$60, plus $5 (domestic) or $10 (international) postage.  Send me a private
