When I wear cuffs on my pants, often find a dropped item in the cuff.
Does as mentioned - arc downward and rebounds and back and forth.  Nothing
is perfect so the bounce goes side ways.

When working with 2 mil sized parts, and soldering them in, I used a mat
that
was like a rug - canyons to grab flipping bouncing worth-gold things.
