To all of Conch-L:

I received the following request for information pertaining to
arctic freshwater gastropods. If someone on the list can assist ...
would you be so kind to answer Todd privately? MANY thanks in advance.

Aloha,

Lindsey

Subject: RE: snails in barrow alaska

Hi Dr. Groves,
Nice talking to you a few minutes ago.
I am a biologist in Barrow, and I am just beginning to look at some
freshwater snails in local ponds.
1. What species are present?
2. Do you have a key for species up here?
3. I work on overwintering physiology in general; do you have any
references on overwintering snails such as whether they tend to be
freeze tolerant or freeze avoiding?
Thanks for your time.
-Todd
P.S., Need any samples?
-T
