Dear Doug,

I am a specialist with cone shells and turrids. I have a copy of
Robin's book and found it quite helpful when trying to identify groups
that I do not work on. My main quibble is that the index is not the
best. There are no family or generic taxa indexed only species names.
This means that you have to know the name of the taxon inorder to oook
it up. The book does have many smaller gastropods included. However,
this is good thing to me. Most gastropods are small. I would suggest
that the book is a good thing to have in any malacological library. The
books price I think is reasonable considering the quality of the binding
and the heavy paper.

Yours,

John
