i will be in north carolina for work next week, and am getting down there
early sat morning to give myself the weekend and part of monday for
shelling and sightseeing. i havent collected there for years and am looking
for any suggestions where to go esp. in summer- i will have a rental car
and am never averse to meeting up with anybody. my preference is the
beaufort/morehead city area, where i formerly had occasional  modest
success, and where its most convenient to drive from/back to Raleigh.

outerbanks/ocracoke are too far for the amount of time, i think...but you
never know.
