I was told early on that if a name is eponymous you should pronounce it as the name is (wolfei is “WOLF eye, not "WOLF ee eye”’ Williamsae is “WILLyams eye”)

The first (I think) entry in Tucker Abbott’s tape was “gigas”, which he pronounced “DJIg ass”… and I have always pronounced it (and heard it pronounced) “DJI gas”.
