There's WebEx (visual) with conference call (audio). I'm no techie, either, but most corporations have been using this capability for more than a decade. I agree with Steve that the hotel/convention center should be able to make this happen.

For present/future thought: I'm not a techie but couldn't there be a way to allow people to attend the presentations 'live' remotely, or at least see any web-based presentations and hear the audio...the way (for work) we dial in to attend remote meetings and can view the presentations on WebEx.
COA could even charge a nominal fee to the remote attendees to offset any additional costs/expenses. But any convention center/hall/hotel should be able to engineer this.
