The Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society (FMCS) took over Burch's other publication, Walkerana. That journal is now called Freshwater Mollusk Biology and Conservation, and a link is here:

FMCS did not acquire Malacological Review, but that journal may have ceased publication. The good folks at UM should know more; perhaps they will chime in.

Subject: [CONCH-L] Malacological Review

Can someone shed some light on the status of Malacological Review?
I know the editor Jack Burch has retired. Has anyone else taken over the journal? And what may have happened to the submitted manuscripts that never got published?

We are trying to determine the status of a manuscript, describing a new species, that was submitted to MR several years ago.
