Hey Gang,

Get Ready!

Tentative agenda:
- general discussion: tossing around ideas; the Mission
- outline of whole planning document
- operational structure of ice - admin, faculty, grads, projects, etc.
- instructional structure of ice - courses, projects, faculty,
degrees, etc.
- next steps

Here are some questions to get discussion going and to be used in the
desriptive text. Also, if you can think of just a sentence for each of the
sub-categories from your perspective that would be a great help....

1. How do you see yourself and your department participating in ICE?

2. What would differentiate this from your normal research/teaching?

3. Do you see ICE being integrated into your instructional program?
i.e. through offering open classes to other disciplines or having
interdisciplinary courses? At the grad or undergrad level?

4. How would you see ICE activities counting towards promotion and tenure?

The New Mission Statement:

The Institute for Creative Exploration is a collaborative studio. It
promotes innovative, interdisciplinary projects that cut across
traditional boundaries in the arts, exploring the creative potential of
technology and promoting critical discourse about its development and use.

1. collaborative studio

2. innovative (creative?)

3. interdisciplinary

4. creative potential of technology

5. critical discourse (of the above)

See you Friday!
