Dear Colleagues,

We encourage you to submit an abstract to session GC049 of the 2020 AGU Fall Meeting, entitled "Improving the Simulation of Climate Impacts on Agriculture: AgMIP and Related Research".

Session Description: Agricultural models simulate the effects of climate on crop yields, livestock production, farm income, and trade, making them important tools for examining food security. This session will focus on research at the interface of climate, agriculture, and economics, including results from the Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIP). Topics of particular interest are agricultural projections at local to global scales; impacts of climate disasters on food systems; seasonal crop forecasting; remote sensing of agricultural lands and data assimilation; interactions between climate and croplands; tradeoffs between agricultural sector adaptation and mitigation; the food-energy-water nexus; and economic assessments of climate change on agricultural markets.

The AGU Fall Meeting is December 9-11, 2020, and will be virtual (https://www.agu.org/Fall-Meeting), and the deadline to submit an abstract is July 29, 2020 at 23:59 EDT (https://www.agu.org/Fall-Meeting/2020/Present/Abstracts).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best,
