Hi Everyone,
I am a new member and I started shell collecting in 1972 when my parents
took me to the Islands of the Seychelles. I was 12 and my father and I began
diving for Cowry shells. At that time their were 42 different species known
around the Islands, we had collected 37 of them. I do have a couple that we
were not able to identify from the little hand book that we bought in the
Seychelles. Soon I will be sending pictures in hopes that some of you
experts can help me identify them. My father had held on to the collection
until recently without adding any new ones. I am 40 and I am going to start
the collecting once again. A look forward to all the surprises that shell
collecting can encounter.
