Dear all,

I must agree with Peter Egerton in that it can't be an Ancilla because of
the sculpture and thickening of the outer lip. At first sight, the shell is
reminiscent of the genus Eburnea (See Voskuil Vita Marina 41(2) - can't
find a year of publication on this one) with the strange double columella,
but the shape is wrong and Eburnea has no sculpture or thickened lip. I
suspect this strange shell is also quite a bit smaller than Eburnea.

Does anyone know where it is from?

Patty
